Las Vegas is touting itself as a destination for romance — and if you are thinking of Sin City’s ability to morph into exotic locales around the world — it is the perfect place. There’s European landscapes, fine dining, pampering at world-class spas and more. So, visiting Vegas for a romance vacation isn’t too big of a stretch.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority points out several reasons that make it an ideal location for couples. Reason number one, it’s surely one of the restaurant capitals of the world. Celeb chefs run rampant in the city with the likes of L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace and Gordon Ramsay’s BugGR.
Vegas are also a show town. From myriad Cirque de Soleil shows, to the comedy of Penn and Teller to pop princess Britney Spears, there’s no lack of entertainment to be had in the city.

The major attractions in Las Vegas are the casinos and the hotels, although in recent years other new attractions have begun to emerge.
Most casinos in the downtown area are located on the Fremont Street Experience,The Stratosphere being one of the exceptions. Fremont East, adjacent to the Fremont Street Experience, was granted variances to allow bars to be closer together, similar to the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego, the goal being to attract a different demographic than the Strip attracts.The center of the gambling and entertainment industry, however, is located on theLas Vegas Strip, outside the city limits in the surrounding unincorporated communities of Paradise and Winchester in Clark County. The largest and most notable casinos and buildings are located there.
